SIMPLE HEALTHY SWAPS FOR YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE

A healthy lifestyle does not have to be difficult. You can break it all down to the small decisions in your everyday life that can make a big difference. We have put together three simple tips (first of many) that you can easily implement in your everyday life. We believe that it is all about balance, however, it is important that the foundation of your diet is nourishing for you.

TIP 1 – YOGURT INSTEAD OF MAYO

Of course there must be room for regular mayonnaise every now and then, but it is a calorie-heavy product. Often there are almost 700 kcal per. 100g. Try making a delicious spread / dip / dressing with yogurt instead. We like to use a low-fat Greek yogurt that contains only 60-70 kcal per. 100g. That means, that there are 10 times more calories in a mayo. You can also try a plant-based yogurt if you want to avoid dairy. You can make a delicious dip / spread with avocado, lime, garlic, or a herb dressing, or a yogurt-agave-dijon-vinegar dressing. The possibilities are many. Try it out.

TIP 2 – CHOOSE WHOLE GRAIN

There are of course room for white pasta, but we always recommend whole grain, to get more fiber in your daily lifestyle, which many people do not always get enough of. Besides the fact that fiber is good for digestion, it also makes you feel full even longer.

TIP 3 – MORE FIBERS AND MORE VEGGIES

Try replacing your regular white rice with brown rice to easily get a little more fiber in. In addition, today, in many grocery stores, you can also find cauliflower rice, which you can either completely -or combine your brown rice with, to get in more veggies into the diet and at the same time save some calories. Especially on the less active days. Again, there should be room for the white rice, but this is a simple way to get in more fiber or vegetables.
