RECIPE FOR 5-6 WAFFLES
TIME: 20-30 MINUTES
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 eggs (you can replace with pure egg white for a version with lower calorie / lower fat content, or make half whole eggs, half egg white)
- 2 bananas (use ripe for a sweeter taste)
- 150ml milk / plant milk
- 100ml water (or milk / plant milk )
- 65 g oats
- 20g coconut flour
- 1 scoop protein powder – 30g (can be replaced with flour / buckwheat flour / oatmeal)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1-2 tbsp agave syrup to sweeten with – you can omit this or use the natural source of sweetness you want
- Spices: A dash of salt, cardamom and you can some vanilla extract/powder too)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Blend all the ingredients above
- Heat your waffle iron and make sure to grease it a little bit, so the waffles do not stick to the iron.
- Bake the waffles until golden (if you have a timer on your waffle iron, us that – if not, then bake the waffles a couple of minutes. Be careful not to fill up the waffle iron with the batter completely, unless you want batter all over your kitchen 😉
- Serve with fresh fruit and our natural protein bar chopped into smaller cubes.
TIP: You can also bake the above recipe as pancakes instead.
